I live two blocks away from the embankment. I know from past experience that all railroad properties contain significant levels of environmental contaminents, including chromium and benzine, known cancer causing toxins. Since demolishing the embankment will cause the release of huge amounts of these and other contaminants, I, and my family request that an Environmental Impact Statement be conducted to insure that the health of my family and the residents of the Downtown Jersey City community will not be affected by any demolition/construction.
