A full environmental study needs to be conducted to deteremine the impact of the demolition of the embankment. I have lived in the neighborhood of the embankment for 20 years (one street away), and really appreciate this magnificent historic structure. Tearing it out would rip the heart out of the neighborhood, not to say subject the residents to adverse environmental effects caused by the demolition.
