Please authorize an Environmental Impact Statement before abandonment causes severe damages to the environment and the historic community downtown. I own a property at 284 6th street that faces the embeankment. Removal of the embankment will decrease water and air quality and release contaminats into the community. Further, if heavy construction equipment comes moves in to tear apart the embankment, this could lead to severe strain on the old houses like my own.
