The Embankment in Jersey City is an integral asset to our historic neighborhood. It help determine the fate of the community in the 1800's and is an oasis today in the midst of explosive neighborhood development. Let us remember the industrial past with the serene woodland setting that has replaced it three stories above the ground. There will be no second chance to create as asset for the community that has the strength of massive stones and the joy of woodland creatures in an urban setting. It is a unique community resource that can be shared by al who live here, not just those who want to exploit it for more congested urban housing
