I strongly request of the STB that a full Environmental Impact Study be initiated in regards to tearing down the Jersey City Embankment. I am a resident of the area and am concerned about the reprocussions of the demolition. There are many people and young children that are in the area that would be impacted by the potential poor air quality due to heavy machinery constantly in and out of the area, air quality due to the demolition of the stones, etc. I also am concerned about the impact to the buildings in the area that are in many instances over 100 years old. Please take time to research the impact of the demolition prior to approving the request.
