I live one block away from the 6th Street Embankment. It is a beautiful structure and should be preserved to the maximum extent possible. Limited development on the ends of the embankment would be reasonable, but before any such development should take place environmental impacts should be considered. The structure is very close to other buildings and development would cause negative environmental impacts to the surrounding area at least on a temporary basis.
