Please authorize an Environmental Impact Statement before abandonment causes severe adverse effects to Jersey City historic districts, landmarks, neighborhoods, and families. The demolition of the embankment could: 1. have adverse effects on the air quality 2. cause dust, noise and other pollution 3. affect water quality 4. destroy habitat for wildlife Removal of the embankment will: 1. remove one of the few open spaces in downtown Jersey City 2. remove a cultural resource from the neighborhood 3. remove a possible light rail link to Secaucus and the waterfront The studies on this property have been inadequate. Please step in as the people of the community are not being heard. Thank you.
