Representing myself, a former Jersey City resident and frequent visitor, I implore you to authorize an Environmental Impact Statement before abandonment causes severe adverse effects to Jersey City historic districts, landmarks, neighborhoods, and families. I frequently cycle through that area on my way to see various clients and visit stores in that area. The dust and rubble will make that impossible for me. In addition, it will cause irreparable damage to the wildlife in that area, particularly migratory birds and monarch butterflies, already sruggling because of all the degraded habitat along their route - and for other wild animals who make this area their home. In addition, it will deprive residents of that area a place to relax in and make it difficult for Holy Rosary to hold their fair.
