Without an EIS the immediate demoltiion of the embankment would cause loss, danger and harm on many fronts. Environmentally we would lose a glorious natural habitat that harbors monarch butterflies, many birds and many indigenous plant and animal species. In addition, demolition would worsen our already critical flood situation in downtown Jersey City.
