Please authorize an Environmental Impact Study Statement of the Harsimus Branch/Pennsylvania Railroad Sixth Street Embankment. I am concerned of the potential adverse effects that demolition of such a structure may cause. I believe there are inadequate studies done of the contaminants that may be released into our drinking water and into the air. In addition, I am quite certain that there would be a significant damage to our quality of life due to: increased dust and poor air quality, flooding due to the change in landscape, noise due to heavy traffic, construction and demolition, property damage due to vibration. As a mother of a 20 month old, I am VERY concerned about the health and safety of my child, my family, the rest of the families on our block and the neighborhood.
