Comment EI-16971

Received or sent (printed as 4/6/2009)

To whom it may concern: As a local resident, I'd like to express my concern about the possible demolition/construction Harsimus Branch Embankment located along sixth street in downtown Jersey City, NJ. Although relatively new to the area, I am looking to settle in Jersey City and am concerned about how major demolition and having large vehicles downtown could effect air quality, noise, and the general ecosystem that has been developed on railroad embankment. I'd like to express my interest that the Surface Transportation Board approve an Environmental Impact Statement for anything related to the Harsimus Branch Embankment before any official abandonment/demolition is approved. Please approve this statement/study so as local residents we can be informed of any adverse effects to our neighborhood, landmarks, and ourselves. Sincerely, Seth Siditsky
