Please ensure that the STB prepare and submit an Environmental Impact Statement concerning the demolition of the embankment. Demolition of the embankment will create environmental issues such as dust, noise and construction debris. More importantly, it will remove an important piece of infrastructure that can be used for future forms of mass transit as well as open space in the interim. This is a unique historic environmental and cultural resources of Jersey City that can contribute to making the City more sustainable and more livable. Its removal will greatly reduce these opportunities.
