To whom it may concern, Please authorize an Environmental Impact Statement to allow informed decisions to be made regarding the 6th Street Embankment before abandonment causes severe and/or adverse effects to downtown Jersey City neighborhoods and families. Abandonment will lead directly to the demolition of a significant piece of infrastructure that spans across five city blocks. It currently contributes to the community as a habitat for a variety of flora, fauna, and insect life; a part of the east coast greenway, a potential park and transit connection to other neigborhoods in Jersey City, and a significant Historic cultural resource. Abandonment would lead to demolition without any study of the environmental impact it could have on the community as a result of its' former use as a transit corridor. Thank you for your attention in this matter.
