As a neighborhood resident, I believe it is apparent given the high density population that an environmental impact statement must be authorized - further demolition of the appropriate structures will have a terrible effect on the air and water quality for the surrounding population, as well as negative impact regarding release of contaminants noise, heavy truck traffic, damage to the immediate properties (especially the adjoining community gardens I happen to be a part of), likely flooding, and destruction of the habitat.
