The Harsimus Branch should be an open space that should be preserved. New Jersey is a highly populated state in the United States, having open green space in Jersey City expecially is hard to see. The Embankment provides home to many bird species as well as other organisms. It is habitat to many different species. The embankment symbolizes the green space that Jersey City should strive for. By constructing and builting on the embankment it shows a negative example on how to preserve open space. STB should authorize a full environmental study of the Harsimus Branch, so decisionmakers have the best information available to them. The full study will show the people how this land is crucial to the organisms living and builting on this land will not bring good to anyone. The embankment should be used as a nature trail to educate many people about nature and the importance of it. Many people would be interested in learning about their environment. In order to get the community educated on environmental problems people like us need to protest for things they believe are crucial. I believe the embankment is important and should be investigated upon. Thank you
