For years, I worked very near the Embankment, and I believe demolishing it would be extremely detremental to the envoirnment, where dust & noise is concerned...hazardous as well, badly damage the fragile ecosystem re: birds, butterflies & plants--all precious commodities in a city, & would be a disaster for homeowners/dwellers in the area. Next door to my house a 4 story construction project is ongoing; this is only ONE Building, ONE construction project--and the dust, noise, construction materials here & there, is not pleasant to live with. I can only imagine how awful it would be for nearby homes, to have the embankment leveled. Please consider a park/smaller project, instead!
