I am writing to demand an environmental impact statement be done on this land. To allow development without an Environmental Impact Statement could be irreversibly bad for the environment. Conrail abandoned this property for decades, and now wants to sell it off without any acknowledgment of the ecosystem that naturally developed there. This area soaks a huge amount of rainfall from the downtown area and it would be irresponsible to develop without an EIS. Jersey City residents demand that an EIS be done before any development is allowed.
