I urge the Surface Transportation Board to authorize an Environmental Impact Statement before abandonment of the Harsimus Branch Embankment. Demolition may adversely effect the residential environment's air quality, noise and cause vibrations as well as releasing contaminants. It may also cause flooding and habitat destruction. The urban residents of this area need your help with this prudent step to authorize the study. Thank you for your time and consideration.
