Please authorize an Environmental Impact Statement for the Harsimus Branch Embankment in Jersey City. Without an EIS, the embankment will be demolished leading to severe adverse effects to Jersey City historic districts, landmarks, neighborhoods, and families. As a person concerned about the health of the planet, and of my friends and colleagues who live and work in Jersey City, I think it is important to preserve the existence of this green space, keep its environmental benefit in the exhaust filled area so close to the entrance to the Holland Tunnel, and set a civic example of preservation and respect for green space for other cities and neighborhoods.
