We would like a full environmental study of the entire Harsimus Branch. This will show just how important this abandoned rail line will be to the neighborhood, Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey, and the entire USA! I mean just that. I feel that the 6th Street embankment, if preserved and used as a part of the East Coast Greenway and park space, will rival Central Park in NYC. It will provide a non-motorized transportation link from Newark and the Meadowlands to NYC that will build a more sustainable transportation system and provide a tourism venue that will rival everything else in NJ. The transportation, health, and viewshed of the entire area counts on this being preserved in it's present state and kept as a transportation corridor as it always was. President and Mrs. Obama have mandated that we do just that to build on the future of our country and keep it healthy. Please do a full environmental study of the entire area!
