Comment EI-16779

Received or sent (printed as 4/4/2009)

I would respectfully request that STB authorize a full environmental study of the Harsimus Branch/Pennsylvania Railroad Sixth Street Embankment. The potential for negative environmental effects of abandonment and demolition, as well as the impact upon surrounding historic resources, which include the Cemetery dating from the Revolutionary War and War of 1812 historic site, is quite serious. Additionally, the cemetery is a historic burial place for Jersey City families, and this much history should be protected. Please move forward with caution and with the necessary and appropriate historical and environmental research. Thank you
