I support that the Surface Transportation Board authorize a full environmental study of the Harsimus Branch, so decisionmakers have the best information available to them. The abandonment of the Harsimus Branch will lead to its demolition which will have serious adverse effects for all residents in the area. The loss of the Harsimus Branch Embankment would be a considerable lost opportunity as far as wildlife habitats, and mass transit oppportunities.
