My name is Santiago Gonzales-Jabega, I am a resident of Madrid, but I have visited Jersey City many times. I look forward to returning this summer. The Embankment is an impressive piece of history in a town that is changing so fast and losing much of its past. I had understood that the community worked for many years to keep the Embankment as open space. This is a very important issue for Cities. In Madrid we have parks every where. In Jersey City there is building everywhere. The neighorhood of the Embankment is also sandwiched in between the New Jersey Turnpike and the Entrance of the Holland Tunnel so it gets much air polution. Removing the open space will have a bad effect on the health of people living in this area. It doesn't seem like you have thought enough about all of the bad effects of allowing this Embankment to be torn down.
