I am writing because of my concerns about the Embankment. I believe the STB should authorize a full environmental study of the Harsimus Branch, so that decision makers have the best information available to them. As a resident of Jersey City, I am concerned about the negative environmental effects of abandonment and demolition. Jersey City (as do most urban centers) needs more green space than less, and with highrise housing encroaching from the east (Hudson River), we need more parks than housing. Thank you.
