Comment EI-16684

Received or sent (printed as 4/3/2009)

As a former Jersey City resident and a concerned citizen, I would like the Board to reconsider their position on abandonment of the Sixth Street Enbankment. I support the continuation of preserving the Enbankment as a historic site. Don't destroy a part of history. This site is one of so few that remain in the Northeast and to add to its historic value consider it a tourist attraction." The Embankment has a quality that adds to its unique appearance. To neglect it would be foolish, however, to continue to preserve its unique beauty speaks volumes of my beloved community and to the world about your appreciation for historic sites and their endearing value. Let's keep it and nurture it, it's that simple."
