Please authorize an Environmental Impact Statement before abandonment and subsequent demolition causes severe adverse effects to Jersey City historic districts, landmarks, neighborhoods, and families. I think the toxic fumes that came about from 9/11 should be a reminder that any work or construction done in a neighborhood where millions of people live and commute through each day, should serve as a reminder that due diligence should always be done. Please be aware Conrail has neglected this site and is only now looking to demolish the area since it has become a profitable venture. Ensure it is environmentally safe to allow this!!
