Please take the utmost care to monitor and preserve the embankments in the area. They should be used to the benefit of all the area residents,in this spirit I am calling on you to authorize an Environmental Impact Statement on the Harsimus Branch Embankment property, as is called for by law. Jersey City would be done a disservice if the land were speed-delivered to Conrail. It would be unhealthy, bad for business, and bad for the community.
