Please authorize an Environmental Impact Statement against demolishing the Embankment in JC. I've lived in JC for 3 years one brownstone down from the Embankment. I don't envision leaving soon unless the city decides to demolish the Embankment. As other cities, world-wide, are trying to balance growth with preserving nature, JC seems to be taking a step backwards in their considering demolishing the Embankment. Most cities would dream of having a landmark like the Embankment, one which is so primed to be cleaned up and utilized the right way (as a park/greenway) to preserve nature (positive growth for all residents and visitors)...rather than destroying it for condos, retail space, etc. (positive growth only for investors).
