Comment EI-16569

I am a New Jerseyan now living in Germany. I have travelled extensively and seen many stone structures throughout the world, including the walls that run to the cliffs on the west side of Ireland, stone bridges of many European cities, the 2000 year old Roman acqueduct in Segovia, and the elevated rail park, the Coulee Verte in Paris. The Embankment is Jersey City´s monumental stone work, running from the Palisades to the Hudson River. It will be a travesty if the structure is torn down and replaced with some undistinguished housing that could be built anywhere. Its destruction will wreck the National Historic Districts that I spend time in when I visit the States and that I love so much. The STB should not make an irreversible decision that will decide its fate without having the benefit of an Environmental Impact Statement.
