The Bucks County Planning Commission has identified the following local environmental issues and concerns. Traffic congestion and increased emissions -Longer wait times at Bustleton Pike (Lower Southampton Township Road G723) grade crossing due to longer trains. -Longer wait times at County Line Road (State Road SR 2038, Upper Southampton Township) grade crossing due to longer trains. -Additional local truck traffic and emissions caused by additional activity at intermodal Train/Truck facility on Cabot Boulevard in Falls Township. Nuisances -Increased noise and vibration along the line due to longer trains. Increases in Hazard Risk -The additional risk of accidents and the sufficiency of first responder capabilities due to the presence of additional hazmat materials. -The condition of the railroad bridge over Southampton Creek and the Pennypack Trail approximately 3/4 miles west of County Line Road in Upper Moreland Township. This facility is in Montgomery County, but an accident could impact the residents and first responders in Bucks County.
