The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) under Part 523 of the Farmland Protection Policy Act has reviewed the Union Pacific Corporation and Union Pacific Company – Control – Norfolk Southern Corporation and Norfolk Southern Railway Company; Preliminary Consultation. This review was conducted with respect to the effect(s) that the proposal may have on prime and/or unique farmland. Since the changes in the project outside existing railroad right-of ways we determine that the proposed project will have no negative impact on prime and/or unique farmland.
