The attached photos are just two species of wildlife that are on the Federal Endangered/Threatened list. The yellow-billed cuckoo and the Texas State Fish, the guadalupe bass, are both found in Sulphur Creek in Lampasas Co. Texas. The proposed quarry train, owned and operated by a foreign Irish company, calling themselves, "Texas Materials," will try to cross Sulphur Creek and has proposed an industrial endpoint within the watershed of Sulphur Creek. Building a bridge and transferring quarry materials will cause stress and harm to a plethora of endemic wildlife that lives and breeds in and around the vicinity of Sulphur Creek. The dust, toxic waste, industrial run-off, vibration, extreme decibel levels, excessive noise, and increased human presence will be detrimental to these fragile species. The levels of hazardous toxins, silt, and material mud that will be washed into the riparian area and actual waterway of Sulphur Creek is unknown. This unknown presents a dire need to abandoned the proposed quarry train. The risks to these endangered and endemic creatures are too high to expect a favorable outcome. Construction of rail and bridges would cause excessive stress to wildlife. Increased fire, train derailment, and spills risks negate the entire proposal. Other creatures that also breed in the threatened area include the Texas River Otter who has recently made a comeback to their endemic area. Wood ducks, osprey, green herons, and soft shell turtles are among other indigenous groups of fauna. Please take these species' well-being into high consideration relating to this land-grab of the already dwindling habitats. Respectfully, Kathleen and Manley Morgan Peace be with you
