I am writing to formally oppose the proposed Burnet-Lampasas rail line by Texas Materials due to its severe environmental impacts on biodiversity, water quality, and the rural landscape of the Texas Hill Country. This project threatens vital ecosystems, protected plant, animal and bird species that are essential for the health and sustainability of our communities. Especially in Lampasas - threatening Sulphur Creek and the Native American archaeological aspects. As a lifelong advocate for agriculture, I urge you to deny this petition.
