This three-hundred-acre pristine ranch in the middle of the planned rail line will be destroyed by the planned rail line. The effects of dust, dirt, debris, noise, location and continual use of the proposed rail line will adversely affect the wildlife, agriculture and pollute the water sources and the quiet enjoyment of home life. The concept of a private for-profit company claiming eminent domain, greater good for all, is a false claim. The rail lines proposed have been abandoned and degraded for over six decades. During this time the land has been reclaimed as abandoned and repurposed for agriculture, wildlife and hunting. This planned rail line is strictly a land grab for business profit at the expense of landowners. It is not only the landowners who will suffer from this theft but all the people of Burnet and Lampasas County who know and enjoy the treasures of the Texas Hill Country, where the Bluebonnet Capitol lies. Further, the beauty of the Texas Hill Country is legend among Texans. Thousands visit just to personally experience and understand the beauty of the Hill Country. It is and would be a travesty to all Texans to allow this rail line to happen.
