Our home is located in close proximity to one of the proposed routes for the Texas Materials railway. The railway poses a significant noise and environmental pollution hazard for our property and the nearby waterways. The potential for grass fires started by the rail cars is a significant danger to humans, grassland and livestock. I strongly oppose construction of a railway in the environmentally sensitive areas of northern Burnet County. This railway would only benefit Texas Materials as a profitable alternative to using the existing AWRR rail line to move quarry products. It would cause immeasurable harm to the environment and residents of Burnet, Texas.
