I am strongly opposed to this “quarry” train. If this is built, the environmental and financial damage to 118 land owners will be severe. Several protected species reside in the properties under consideration. The company proposing this is owned by another country and they do not have the right to exploit land in the Hill Country. The lack of transparency regarding this whole process is particularly galling. The residents of Lampasas and Burnet counties will fight this with every breath and bone in their bodies, rest assured.
