This project will devastate local ranches. If this project should be allowed it would tear many high fenced properties that are certified wildlife management areas, misplacing hundreds to thousands of wildlife. Many ranchers hunt or lease out their lands as revenue for their families. This would force ranchers to either give up their cattle or herds of deer way below market price putting their families in a huge finical burden that was forced upon them. The project would also destroy generational homes on a lot of these ranches as well as a lot of state historic sites. Additionally the rail road would cause the local streams and creeks to be dried up or polluted. That many of these ranchers also depend on for their herds. This would also kill thousands of fish, turtles, and many other animals that depend on these streams and creeks that the county of Lampasas has so strongly prided themselves on since the creation of the town and to ruin it for a company that isn’t even American backed.
