To Whom It May Concern, We absolutely reject and oppose the idea of a train running through Lake Victor. As you can see on the map, this train would run very close to our property, a quarter mile away. It would be loud and ugly, and would change everything we have loved about living in Lake Victor for the past 25 years, since David and I made our home here. I started coming to our deer lease in Lake Victor with my parents and grandparents in the 80s, probably when I was about 10 years old. My family moved here in 1991. David and I moved here in 2000 and raised two daughters on this property. We have only known peace and quiet here, a kind of secret place \"in the middle of nowhere,\" away from the noise and busyness of town. Now we have the possibility of a noisy, ugly train coming to change this peace and quiet we know and love in Lake Victor. We understand the need for progress and convenience. We understand that big money talks, and what the people want is usually low on the priority list. But that doesn\'t mean that the people\'s voice doesn\'t matter. If you will listen honestly to us, you will hear a resounding \"NO, we do not want a train running from Burnet to Lampasas.\" It would be destructive to our way of life, essentially destroying our quiet country life that we so highly cherish. Our voice does matter--we are the people who work hard for what we have. This is our home. We do not wish to see it destroyed. Please hear us and please do not approve this project. Respectfully, David and Kristy Drake
