We live at 900 Summit Ridge Road which is almost the end of the road. It looks like that proposed rail will be really close to our street. I have 2 major concerns: 1. Noise. We already have railway noise from the train that runs parallel to rt. 29. My husband and I purposely purchased our land to have peace and quiet in our retirement years. Adding more noise does not help. 2. Several years ago, a fire was sparked by a train on the tracks next to Rt. 29. It caused severe damage to property for those who lived on the south side of Summit Ridge. As you know, we are in such a severe drought, I would hate to add another danger to our lives and property in Burnet. Please stop the rail. Best regards, Lori and George Allen
