Trains are loud, dirty, diesel engines emitting fumes. These people bought their homes and land specifically for the peace and quiet. Property values go down. I personally know a family in this area who bought their house for the peace and quiet that this neighborhood provides because they have a special needs son and the noise of a train will be disturbing to him which could lead to outbursts. People with autism need peace and quiet in their surroundings because noise and chaos disturbs their inner peace.
