I am against this project because it puts our community’s safety and health at risk. Transporting hazardous materials so close to where families live is dangerous. A spill or accident could contaminate the Rio Bravo River, our only water source, and cause serious harm to people, animals, and the environment. The added traffic and risks would also slow down emergency services and make it harder for them to respond when every minute counts. This project would hurt our air quality, increase health problems, and disturb the peace of our neighborhoods. It’s not worth the risk.
