I believe that the project only address short term issues. The investment should move the railroad line and the truck crossing further north. Eagle Pass is growing in all directions and although the objective to eliminate train and truck traffic through town is accomplished, the proposed line barely moves the crossing outside the northern city limit boundary. It is very shortsighted to invest for a short term solution, affecting residential zones and disrupting traffic in the Seco Mine area. If the project was to cross 8-10 miles to the north of the proposed area it would effectively address the existing issues and provide a long term solution. The investment would be substantially more because of the need for more railroad track but it would eliminate the need of future investments to readdress the same issues. I've attached a file of where I suggest you move the crossing.
