My parents have lived on Del Rio Blvd since the early 1990's. They have lived thru construction, traffic, widening of Del Rio Blvd, new businesses coming to the area and every other development of the Seco Mines area. The new proposed rail road is, in my opinion, the worst proposed project to date. It will immensely add to the congestion and overcrowding of the 277 and N Veteran's Blvd intersection. As it stands Del Rio Blvd is not wide enough to accomodate the current traffic. Why run a rail road on one of the busiest parts of town? There is plenty of room further way from the Seco Mines/Deer Run area that will not impact businesses and families as much. Eagle Pass is growing and should expand outward into undeveloped territories. We need to grow our city to accommodate people, businesses and traffic. Developing a rail road this close to town is not the answer.
