As a concerned citizen of Maverick County and mother of a minor child, I am extremely worried about the safety of our family and all the members of our community. This project will cause noise pollution and is placing the lives of citizens on high risk of another chemical spill by a rail operation. Our community suffered a chemical spill by rail in the past and many citizens suffered serious health injuries. Some citizens are open to improving these type of operations, but not at the risk of the lives of its citizens which include children. Also, more time should’ve been given to comment. Many citizens are not aware of what is happening in regards to this serious matter. Please take serious consideration into declining this project at this location when other locations are available and would not endanger the lives of local citizens who are presently facing a serious Border crisis that this current Administration has failed to control.
