I oppose to the construction of the !new railroad in Eagle Pass. I strongly believe that is not an aprópiate area for the proposed project. We live super closer to the route and we are very worried about all the movement it will cause to our properties. Also the route will be super close to 2 educational buildings such as an elementary and a head start, and according to studies have found that living close to a railroad have lower life spans, increased asthma, heart and lung disease rates, and risk of cancer because of the exposure to particulate matter that comes from the train. It is worth mentioning that this is extremely alarming for me since personally in my home we suffer from asthma. We do not need anything that will cause our population health issues besides that this project will not benefit or generate any economical impact to our city. No to the railroad in a well establish living area.
