Hello my name is Eddie Jimenez I am a lifelong resident of Eagle Pass, TX., I recently built a brand new 1,750 sq ft. in 2330 Rio Pecos. As I was celebrating my new home and my marriage anniversary last Sunday a man came up to my yard and said, are you aware that they r planning to build a railroad right in front of your home? I was not aware and my heart dropped to imagine the concequences of this railroad. I quickly thought of the noise, the trembling that will crack my stucco walls, the devaluation of my home, the pollution that may cause me and my family possible sicknesess.. The railroad would be right across the street of my home 30 ft away which is very questionable because when wr bought the lot last year we checked on the flood zone and that area of the railroad is flood zone..I really dont know why a railroad would be build right into our beautiful new neighborhood and straight over peoples houses.. the City inspectors were very picky when we constructed the home. No trash, no loose animals, must gave grass and trees to move in. Yet now a dirty loud railroad will be build right in front of our clean neighborhood? This totally doesnt make sense. Cities grow outwards not inwards. Theres plenty of space up couple miles north of Hwy 277. I really home yall reconsider this terrible decision. THANK YOU!
