The project proposes 1 scheduled train in the early morning hours to come in, grab the load and leave. The alternative would be large dump trucks driving in and out of the center all day, heavily impeding local passenger traffic on our small roads. These trucks would greatly contribute to smog and pollution as well as the added cost (financially & environmentally) to maintain fleets of heavy duty trucks. The treatment center isn’t going anywhere, but we can choose the all-around best option on how to tackle transportation of the ash. I say put it in a single train and not impede already congested roadways with massive, polluting, garbage trucks! Thank you!
