I am very concerned about the environmental issues and quality of life the proposed project will have on the Kings Park community and surrounding areas. Traffic will increase drastically with the trucks loading and unloading cargo to and from the trains. More traffic is not good for the air quality and adds noise pollution in addition to environmental pollution. This rail line will also decrease the value of our homes in the community. A home purchase is the largest investment most people ever make in their lives. I am very scared that the proposed rail line will decrease my home's value to less than half. Please do not allow this project to happen.
