I am opposed to the Uinta Basin Railway. There are several reasons but I will only list a couple. They have completely ignored common sense in that there was a shorter, less expensive route that they could have used to tie into an ALREADY EXISTING RAIL LINE! From their point of origin and going due south would tie into the existing rail line in a fraction of mileage than the current proposal. Additionally, those mountains are mostly shale. What do you think digging a tunnel through those mountains is going to do?! It is dangerous not only during the construction process, but would weaken the immediately surrounding areas. Do not allow this project to go through!
