I fully support the construction of the rail road into the Uintah Basin. I am a fourth generation resident of the Uintah Basin area and I have watched the local economy struggle because of the high expense of getting the natural resources out of the Basin area to the markets that use the resources. The flip side of that coin is the high cost of getting products into the Basin. This railway is a great solution to the above challenges to the local economy. Of the three routes under study i prefer the route from Myton area to Craig Colorado because it covers more of the Basin area which reduces the truck traffic required to get products to and from the railway terminals.
